A place where women and mothers can holistically rest, regain, reset, and rebirth

Birthing Abundantly is a practice rooted in care, creativity, and advocacy—supporting women and femmes through birth, healing, art, and sexuality.

We walk alongside mothers and women, especially those in the BIPOC, BIWOC, and LGBTQ+ community, ensuring care is affirming, accessible, and abundant.

Serving Metro Detroit for in person services, and virtually for Chicago, NYC, and CT residents.

About Desiree Cameron

Through birthwork, healing, art, and sexuality support, Desiree creates spaces for women and mothers to rest deeply, heal fully, and create abundantly.

In the past 3 years, I've worked with local organizations in Detroit and NY teaching about the basics of c-sections and recovery, and the need for doulas as part of the birth plan. I've also worked with Detroit Mama Bloom in supporting mother's through their postpartum journey.

Being a mother of two beautiful girls, both born at 29 weeks through emergency c section, dealing with delayed breastfeeding, having them both in the NICU for 3 months, and working with a postpartum therapist has definitely heightened my experience as a full spectrum doula.

“HAVING A DOULA SHIFTED MY HIGH-RISK PREGNANCY EXPERIENCE FROM BEING OVERWHELMINGLY TOUGH, TO BEING A BATTLE I WAS BUILT FOR.

I had the pleasure of having a birth doula who constantly told me that I was doing a great job, made sure that I was loving on myself and reminded me of the amazing work that my body did”
